Kimono atelier Akané is driven by the motto of "Cross cultural exchange through the Kimono". We blend tradition and creativity to connect Japan and the world through the art of kimono.
With bases in Kyoto, the Kanmon region, and France, we share the beauty of kimono globally through original product development, vintage kimono sales, kimono dressing and photography services, and kimono demonstrations at cultural events.

  We design, produce, and sell upcycled items crafted from kimono and traditional textile fabrics—such as kimono dresses, jackets, and obi bags.
 Our work includes collaboration with regional workshops and research institutes, the development of original products, as well as global wholesale distribution and cross-border e-commerce of vintage kimono.

  Kimono Experience & Photo

  At our Kyoto boutique, we offer both original products and carefully selected vintage kimono.
 In Kyoto and Shimonoseki, our Japanese–English–French speaking staff accompany guests through kimono dressing experiences and photo-shooting plans—popular among couples, families, and international visitors.
