The collaborative project between Shimonoseki City University and Kimono atelier Akané has resulted in the release of four types of ties using Kurume-Kasuri, a traditional regional textile.

These ties were planned as the first phase of Shimonoseki City University's initiative to revitalize the local region and enhance its brand image. The goal is to promote this traditional material as an accessible item both domestically and internationally. Sales commenced on August 1st via the Shimonoseki City University Original Product online shop and other platforms.
