With our Shimonoseki Kimono Photo Plan, you can enjoy a memorable photo session set against iconic shrine grounds and beautiful views of the straits.
Our friendly bilingual staff (speaking French and English) will provide complete, end-to-end support—from guiding you to the kimono rental shop and helping you select the perfect kimono, to accompanying you to the location and coordinating the shoot.
Through a close collaboration with our trusted partner rental shop, this experience is thoughtfully designed so that even first-time wearers can enjoy Japanese tradition with complete comfort and peace of mind.
Your beautifully captured memories will be carefully delivered to you via Google Photos within approx. 10 days.

A photo plan that captures your kimono look in the scenic strait town of Shimonoseki.
Our partner kimono rental shop and bilingual staff (JP/FR/EN) will accompany you throughout the session.

- Meet our staff at our partner kimono rental shop near Karato.
- Move to local locations such as Akama Shrine or coastal areas for the photo shoot
- Enjoy sightseeing afterward until 17:00, then return the kimono to the rental shop
- Receive photo data via Google Photos within approx. 10 days

Through the KIMONO Upcycle Project by Chikage Costume Shop × Akané, we give new life to kimono that have fulfilled their original role—creating one-of-a-kind items such as obi bags, kimono dresses, and jackets that blend traditional beauty with modern style.
